Always aimed for perfection & Involved myself in team sports.

Plan carefully before you make your key decisions. Local saying: "Measure a hundred times & cut once"

Q3 - Looking back, what was your best business decision?

Developing a new Concept Social Spa in Woodland.

Q4 - Who has influenced you the most through your career?

Piet Derksen , the founder of Center Parcs.

Q5 - What was your most difficult / worst business decision?

My most difficult decision was resigning from a very reliable career working for ARUP, International Engineering Consultancy Group,  to join a small virtually unheard of Dutch group with a new concept selling All The Year Round Holidays in Woodland in Northern Europe. It was indeed an extremely successful business decision.

Q6 - What would you say was the single most advantageous character trait for success?

Simplicity of expression

Q7 - What happens when you’re stressed or overwhelmed? 

You lose sense of direction.

Q8 - How do you invest in your own wellbeing. How do you look after yourself?

Spend as much time as possible in Forests enjoying clean air. Eat well mainly Mediterranean diet of course!

Q9 - If you could change one thing about the spa and wellness industry what would it be and why?

Make it more accessible.

90% of the things we worry about never happen!

Neck & shoulders massage as I get most tension here when driving.

Eat light and before 8 pm. Have a herbal tea preferably Green Tea.

Have a brisk walk for about 20 minutes & breathe deeply.
