Q1 - How did your childhood influence your work ethic and attitude towards business?
My grandmother was a very successful business woman – owned a drapery shop & post office. A widow in her 40s – her strength of character has always inspired me.
Q2 - What do you believe the principles of a successful business are today?
Integrity to those I work with and to the environment. Transparency & honesty. Always sticking up for the underdog.
Q3 - Looking back, what was your best business decision?
Starting MOSS – allowing all my creativity over the years to actually live in a bottle.
Q4 - Who has influenced you the most through your career?
Brian, my husband has an amazing business mind while at the same time, he is very grounding.
Q5 - What was your most difficult / worst business decision?
One of the most difficult decisions was to try and fund MOSS of the ISLES ourselves without investment – but looking back it was the best decision.
Q6 - What would you say was the single most advantageous character trait for success?
Stubbornness – not giving up.
Q7 - What happens when you’re stressed or overwhelmed?
I shut down, mind myself & reboot.
Q8 - How do you invest in your own wellbeing. How do you look after yourself?
I go to the gym & yoga for head space. When I am creating scents and products I am in my happy place.
Q9 - If you could change one thing about the spa and wellness industry what would it be and why?
I would wish that therapists were trained to be more intuitive, it is a vocation. I also wish they were paid more.
Q10 - Finally, What’s your favourite quote or the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Respect life – treat all living things as you would like to be treated yourself. Every organism on this planet has a purpose for being here.

1. What’s your favourite book?
‘Of Tigers and Men’ – about a hunter who used to hunt big game in Africa and then changed sides & became a conservationist! It really speaks of my love of the natural world and the ability for people to change.
2. What’s your favourite film of all time?
Love Actually – I love seeing how all different people interact and that we are all connected in some way.
3. If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be and why?
David Attenborough & Oprah Winfrey – can’t choose between the two – I respect and admire them so much.
4. You get taken to your favourite place to be, where are you taken?
My home by the sea!
5. Your perfect dinner is?
Roast Chicken dinner.
6. Your go to drink is?
Red wine – any type!
7. Your favourite sweet treat is?
Home-made vanilla ice-cream
8. What’s your favourite essential oil/scent?
My favourite scent would be Four Thieves – essential oil blend.. it is warming, comforting & Christmas wrapped in a bow…
My absolute favourite essential oil is Sandalwood because it is really grounding and earthy.
9. You go for a treatment - what do you have and why?
Cranial Sacral Therapy because it works at such a cellular level for me. It works on my muscular/skeletal system, on all my organs and my para-sympathetic nervous system.

Hot bath in our MOSS of the ISLES Quiet bath salts!

Go to the gym.
